Hi! My name is Ana, and I’m a goldsmith from Lisbon.

I discovered silversmithing at 15 and fell in love with the art. Its precision, patience and the quiet beauty found in the small details quickly made the bench my happy place.

Driven by another lifelong passion, I went on to study archaeology, earning a master’s degree in underwater archaeology. The study of history, ancient craftsmanship and the objects that carry human stories deeply shaped how I see jewellery today.

After returning to the bench, I focused on custom-made pieces, always with the dream of creating collections that combined my love for history and craft. From that dream, Past Lives was born: a wish to join ancient techniques, myths, and stories into meaningful, timeless jewels. Each piece carries a message: a symbol that connects us to our past as a society and to ourselves.

I work from my small sustainable studio in Lisbon, where every piece is handcrafted with care. Inspired by the workshops of old, I create limited collections to honour slow craftsmanship and promote conscious consumption.
